Terms of use

The rules of the service: what we give you, what we expect from you, and what happens if something goes wrong.

Last updated:

1. Who provides the service

This service is provided by VRIZ ("we", "us"); its owner is identified in section 14. By contracting the service or using this site, you accept these terms.

Customer support: hello@vriz.io · +1 849 581 7841 (calls and WhatsApp). We reply within 2 business days at most.

2. What the service is

VRIZ designs, publishes and maintains websites. Each site's design is prepared by our assistant from what you tell us about your business, and the site is published and runs on our platform and infrastructure. Depending on the plan, the service may also include data-backed modules — bookings, events with sign-ups, waitlist, newsletter and contact forms — and sending notices to those lists.

The service does not include an online store with inventory, cart and payments; portals with end-user accounts; or bespoke application development.

3. Plans, prices and payment

  • Plans, their limits and their prices are those published on this site at the time of contracting.
  • The fee is recurring — monthly or yearly, as you choose — and payable in advance. It renews automatically at the end of each period, for the same term, until you cancel it.
  • You can cancel the renewal at any time from your dashboard.
  • If you move to a higher plan, the change applies immediately. If you move to a lower one, it applies from the start of the next period.
  • Setup is not charged: there is no initial or installation fee.
  • Prices are stated in US dollars. Any applicable taxes are added at the time of payment according to your jurisdiction.
  • We may update prices giving you 30 days' notice. An increase never applies to a period already paid for.
  • Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: Paddle charges you, issues your receipt, appears on your statement, calculates and remits any applicable taxes, provides all customer service inquiries about payments and handles returns. By paying you also accept Paddle's buyer terms.
  • Payment is made with the methods Paddle's checkout offers, such as card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay. We do not accept bank transfers.

4. No lock-in and 30-day guarantee

There is no minimum term and no cancellation penalty. If you cancel, the service stays active until the end of the period you already paid for and does not renew.

7-day free trial. Creating your account and building your site does not require a card. When you publish your site for the first time a 7-day free trial begins, during which your site is live with all of its features, carries a label saying it is a trial and is kept out of search engines. There is one trial per customer. If you do not choose a plan when the trial ends, your site is paused: it stops being visible, and we keep your content for 30 days so you can reactivate it exactly as it was. After those 30 days we may delete it. The trial includes limited use of the assistant.

30-day money-back guarantee. If within 30 days of your first payment you decide the service is not for you, we refund that payment in full. You do not need to explain why or meet any condition. Ask for it by writing to hello@vriz.io or through the contact channels published on this site; the refund is processed through Paddle back to the payment method you used. Timelines and the procedure are set out in the refund policy.

After those 30 days, amounts already paid for periods in progress are not refundable, unless the failure is ours or the law of your country grants you a right of withdrawal — in which case that right applies, not this clause.

5. What is on you

  • Providing content — copy, images, logos, business details — that you hold the necessary rights to.
  • Keeping the legal and commercial information published on your site up to date.
  • Not using the service for unlawful or deceptive activity, or activity that infringes third-party rights.
  • Standing behind what you publish: your prices, hours, availability and business terms are yours and yours alone.
  • Reviewing what the assistant prepares before you publish it. It can make mistakes, and what you approve and publish is your responsibility.

Acceptable use. You may not use VRIZ to publish or collect:

  • Unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive content, including pages that impersonate another person or business or that seek to obtain passwords or payment details.
  • Malware or links to it.
  • Content that incites hatred or violence, sexually explicit content, or content that exploits minors.
  • Products or services prohibited by the law of your country or by Paddle's acceptable use policy.

Notices may only go to people who agreed to receive them: bought lists and unsolicited email are not allowed.

Nor may you try to get around your plan's limits, deliberately overload the platform or access other customers' data. If you see something on a VRIZ site that breaks these rules, let us know at legal@vriz.io.

We may suspend the service, with prior notice wherever possible, if a site breaches the above. If the breach is serious — fraud, malware, content that exploits minors — we suspend it immediately.

6. Your content and your design

You retain all rights over the content you provide. You grant us only the licence needed to host it, adapt it technically and display it on your site for the duration of the contract.

Your site's design becomes yours once you have paid for at least one period of a plan and did not cancel or request a refund within 30 days of your first payment. While your plan runs, authority over your site's code is ours: we write, change and maintain it. The platform, the assistant and the infrastructure are ours. All of this is set out in the intellectual property policy. We process the data your site collects from your customers on your behalf, under the data processing agreement.

7. Changes included

Content changes — copy, prices, hours, images, section order — are yours to make whenever you want, from your dashboard or by asking the assistant. New pages and changes of style are asked of the assistant. All of them are included in your plan within that plan's assistant usage and design-change limits, and none goes live until you approve it. We keep earlier versions of your site so you can go back to how it was. Integrations with other tools are included from the Operations plan up; custom integrations with your own systems belong to the Enterprise plan.

8. Availability

We take all reasonable measures to keep your site continuously available, backed by a global delivery network. We do not guarantee any specific uptime percentage and we are not liable for outages caused by our infrastructure providers, by your domain registrar, or by force majeure. Where maintenance may affect the service, we will give notice wherever possible.

9. Search engine ranking

We ship sites with the technical foundation needed to be indexed — tags, structured data, sitemap, performance and canonical URLs. We do not guarantee any particular position in any search engine, because it is not within our control. Be wary of anyone who promises you one.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you, on any basis, is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of custom or indirect damages.

None of the above excludes liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor any rights the law grants you on a mandatory basis.

11. Termination

You may end the contract whenever you like by cancelling your plan, as set out in section 4. We may end it with 30 days' notice, or sooner if a site breaches section 5. On termination:

  • We stop publishing the site and providing the service.
  • If you request it within 60 days, we hand over your content and the data your modules collected (bookings, requests, contacts) as a spreadsheet file (CSV).
  • If the design is yours, we also hand over your site in a standard format as it was published — its pages in HTML and CSS, with their images and stylesheets — ready to be hosted on any other service and maintained by whoever you prefer.
  • The copy does not include the functionality that runs on our servers. Bookings, the waiting list, the events calendar and forms are handed over as design, not as function: the booking form still shows, but it no longer takes bookings. To make it work again you will need to connect it to another system.
  • Your domain remains yours and you can point it wherever you like.

When the design is yours and what you take in each case is set out in the intellectual property policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms. If a change is substantial and affects you as an active customer, we will notify you by email at least 30 days in advance. If you disagree, you may cancel without penalty before it takes effect.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic. For any dispute, the parties submit to the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless the law imposes another venue.

14. Who provides the service

The provider of the service and party to these terms is Alfonso Miguel Evangelista Concepción, trading as VRIZ, based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. You can write to us at hello@vriz.io or call us on +1 849 581 7841.
